PROGRAM:

The Hills are Alive (Anouk Nier-Nantes), France, 2019, 20'
Among the seven hills of Athens, there are Latomia, the disused marble mine, Alepotripa, « The Fox’s Hole », and Lykavittos, the hill of wolves. These three hills are neither nature reserves nor public parks with well marked paths. They have no determined status or purpose, allowing other ways to wander and coexist to emerge. They rise up out of the city like islands, and yet they form a kind of underground : a mine of secret and more-or-less mythological stories.

space. virtual space. a space of another time. an other of time. a time of other. mother. lands. the scapes of lands within.
the material between images
And there should have been a night in which son and father would come together, father with his woman, woman with soil, soil with water, water with sky, sky with light.
But there will be no night.
the pause between words
when
fences set just frame for playground
stage for passengers, analytics
facing human urge of playfulness, reinterpretations
questioning of forms and perceptions
passing-by
is drama
the silence in the music
a soul has no adjectives
Filma, dakle, neće biti.
(Film, there will be no film.)
